Together they have won the two largest medical negligence awards in the history of Maine courts. Bramley is an integral part of the firm’s medical malpractice group and a leader in the use of computer technology for case preparation. He joined the firm in 1996 and has been a shareholder since 2007.

As Managing Director, Bramley oversees business strategy, hiring, marketing and other key aspects of operations for Berman & Simmons. The growing firm employs 18 attorneys and more than 50 staff members in offices in Lewiston, Portland, and Bangor. Founded in 1914, the firm celebrates its 100th anniversary this year.

Bramley has served as acting Managing Director since January 2014, when previous Managing Director John Sedgewick took a leave of absence due to health issues. Sedgewick served in that post since 1988.
