Berman & Simmons, P.A., a litigation law firm in Lewiston, is seeking a Paralegal to support an attorney in personal injury cases. A litigation paralegal works on a team to support attorney(s) in moving cases from intake to jury verdict. The Paralegal role offers a supportive and collaborative environment in which you will learn to manage plaintiff tort cases, organize and review medical records, conduct online research, draft and revise discovery, and prepare the attorney for trial.
Applicants should have the ability to work effectively as a member of a team with attorneys, clients, other paralegals, legal assistants, and outside organizations, as well as have strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to details, and the ability to manage many duties simultaneously. Strong interpersonal communication and writing skills, as well as an aptitude for technology, are essential for success in this role.
A bachelor’s degree is preferred, however other work experience and education will be considered.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OneDrive, is required.
This position is full-time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. in the Lewiston office.
