Maine Board of Overseers Appoints Berman & Simmons Attorney Mike Bigos to Professional Ethics Commission

Berman & Simmons attorney Michael T. Bigos has been appointed to the Maine Board of Overseers of the Bar, Professional Ethics Commission.

Created by the Maine Supreme Judicial Court in 1978 the Board of Overseers governs the conduct of lawyers, covering relationships with clients, the general public, other members of the legal profession, the courts and other state agencies. When necessary, it also investigates grievance complaints against members of the Bar. The Professional Ethics Commission renders formal and informal written advisory opinions involving the interpretation and application of the Maine Rules of Professional Conduct.

Mike is a past president of the Maine Trial Lawyers Association and has served as a Board Governor and Delegate to the American Association for Justice. In addition, he is AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell and has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America, and as a Super Lawyer.
