Local and national media focus on El Faro victims from Maine
Dec. 18, 2015 — The announcement earlier this week that Berman & Simmons is representing the families of two El Faro victims from Maine was covered by media outlets throughout Maine, Florida, and around the nation.
Berman & Simmons represent the families of Danielle Randolph, 34, and Dylan Meklin, 23, who were among the 33 crew members killed when the cargo ship El Faro sank during Hurricane Joaquin in October. Randolph and Meklin were graduates of Maine Maritime Academy, and were both from Rockland, Maine.
One of our attorneys on the case was interviewed by several media outlets. Click the links to hear the segments from Maine Public Radio and WGAN Radio.

“This tragedy has been felt in Maine, Florida, and throughout the maritime community. We do not think it is appropriate for any court to impose limitations on the shipowner’s liability or financial responsibility,” our attorney said. “Our role is to protect the rights of the Randolph and Meklin families. Today’s filings are the first step in the process.”
