Daniel Kagan: Hold VW accountable for false claims

Daniel Kagan, an attorney with the Berman & Simmons law firm, was interviewed this week by WGME TV in Portland for a segment about the Volkswagen emissions cheating scandal. The segment was produced by investigative reporter Jon Chrisos of WGME TV’s I-Team.

Kagan is a fierce consumer advocate. He believes corporations like the Volkswagen Group need to be held fully accountable when they make false representations to consumers.

“Some people really accepted VW promises that their vehicles were clean diesel. That is a two-word advertisement, not just one,” Kagan said. “When you say clean diesel, for some people who bought those vehicles, that was very important to them.”
