Berman & Simmons Welcomes Attorneys Sarah Hall and Joe Gousse to Its Personal Injury Firm
Berman & Simmons Law Firm today announced the recent hiring of attorneys Sarah K. Hall and Joe G.E. Gousse. Highly skilled and dedicated to the law, they will join the firm’s experienced research and writing team. Attorney Hall will work with Jodi Nofsinger with a focus on medical malpractice. Attorney Gousse will join the firm’s personal injury team and work with Michael Bigos and Timothy Kenlan.
During the course of her 22 year legal career in Maine, Ms. Hall has represented plaintiffs in personal injury and medical malpractice cases, as well as assisted litigators in an employment practice. For over a decade of her career, she led her own practice with a focus on research and writing. A Wesleyan University graduate, Ms. Hall earned her law degree from University of Maine School of Law, cum laude. She lives in Durham.
Mr. Gousse is a lifelong Maine resident and graduate of the University of Maine School of Law, cum laude. He has dedicated his practice to representing injured Mainers, most recently as the lead research and writing attorney at the Law Offices of Joe Bornstein. Prior to his admission to the bar, Mr. Gousse served as an intern for former United States Senator Olympia J. Snowe and as Legislative Researcher for the Maine Wabanaki-State Child Welfare Truth and Reconciliation Commission. In 2015, he was awarded the Wernick Prize for Legal Writing in recognition of his legal scholarship examining the restricted sovereignty of Maine’s Native American tribes. Mr. Gousse resides in Windham.
