Berman & Simmons proud to support the Robbie Foundation

Berman & Simmons, the leading personal injury and medical malpractice law firm in Maine, was a champion sponsorof a fundraising event for the Robbie Foundation.

The sixth annual “No Limits Run, Walk, and Roll” 5K was held on Sunday,Sept. 23 at Bowdoin College in Brunswick. The event is a major fundraiser for the Robbie Foundation, a non-profit organization whosemission is to raise funds to provide adaptive equipment, therapy services, and other assistance not covered byinsurance to children in Maine with special needs.

Attorney Susan Faunce of Berman& Simmons serves as a volunteer and board member for the Scarborough-based Robbie Foundation. The law firm waseager to join other local organizations in support of this charitable cause. Staff members from Berman &Simmons attended the Sept. 23 event as volunteers and participants.

“I have worked on a number of cases involving children with significant physical and developmental disabilities, andI have witnessed the struggles parents go through to get the necessary equipment and therapies,” Faunce said. “As amom, I sympathize because many times the needs are not covered by insurance. The needs can be as simple as anadequate fitting car seat or a safe bed.”

“Children with disabilities deserve to be comfortable, happy, and to live to their fullest potential like everychild,” Faunce said.
