Attorneys Elizabeth Kayatta and Chris Boots Elected to Leadership Roles in Advocacy Associations

Berman & Simmons attorney, Elizabeth Kayatta, has been elected co-chair of the Women’s Law section of the Maine Bar Association. The Women’s Law section provides a forum for women lawyers to gather for regular educational programs, networking and discussion of issues of interest to women attorneys.

Elizabeth’s practice includes personal injury lawsuits resulting from medical errors, child sexual abuse, and reckless driving. She is currently part of a coalition of four prominent law firms assembled to represent victims and their families associated with the tragic shooting incident on October 25 in Lewiston, ME. Elizabeth attended Boston College Law School and has been recognized by Super Lawyers, and included on the Best Lawyers in America, “Ones to Watch” list. She is also a member of TheNational Trial Lawyers Top 100 organization.

Attorney Christopher Boots has been elected as a board member for the Maine Trial Lawyers Association (MTLA), where he also serves as a Legislative Committee Co-Chair. The MTLA is a professional trade organization that provides advocacy, continuing legal education, and public education to Maine attorneys and the people they represent.

Chris represents clients in claims involving personal injury, products liability, and medical malpractice. Chris has been recognized by Super Lawyers, and included on the Best Lawyers in America, “Ones to Watch” listHe was co-president of the Stanford Law Association before graduating from Stanford Law School.
