About Attorney Craig Bramley
Attorney Craig Bramley brought decades of experience trying and winning complex personal injury and medical malpractice cases to Berman & Simmons before assuming the role of Managing Director in 2015. His leadership tenure was defined by a commitment to innovation, continuous improvement, talent development, and fostering an engaging and supportive workplace. Craig made it his mission to ensure attorneys and staff had the resources and support necessary to succeed, with a focus on what each of the firm’s practice groups needed to achieve the best outcomes for clients.
Whether researching emerging legal theories, staying current with technology and industry trends, or implementing tools to improve efficiency, Craig consistently sought new ways to help the firm deliver exceptional results. He also oversaw business strategy, marketing, hiring, and other key operational functions. Leading with integrity, empathy, and resilience, Craig earned the trust and respect of his colleagues and successfully guided the firm through significant business challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic, leaving a lasting legacy upon his retirement in 2025. His emphasis on open communication, teamwork, and principled, data-driven decision-making reinforced the firm’s core mission of providing outstanding representation to Maine clients. Craig’s managerial insight and mentorship helped guide Berman & Simmons to a position of notable prominence in Maine’s plaintiff trial bar.
Before assuming firm leadership, Craig built a distinguished career representing plaintiffs in medical malpractice and serious personal injury cases. He worked closely with other Berman & Simmons attorneys to secure an impressive record of settlements and jury verdicts, often prevailing against large corporations and other powerful defendants. Craig was known for his command of medical and legal research, persuasive advocacy, and his ability to develop strong cases—including many that other firms declined. He also wrote and presented extensively on medical malpractice, trial practice, and the pre-litigation screening panel process.
