Susan Faunce joins panel discussion “Standing Up for the Rule of Law: How Do We Save It?” Public Forum

As President of the Maine State Bar Association, Attorney Susan Faunce will join a distinguished panel for an upcoming public forum, “Standing Up for the Rule of Law: How Do We Save It?” The event will take place on Monday, October 14, at 6:00 p.m. at USM’s Hannaford Hall, located at 88 Bedford Street, Portland, Maine. The event is free and open to the public, with complimentary parking available in the attached garage.

This important community discussion will explore how the rule of law forms the foundation of American democracy and what can be done to preserve and strengthen it.

The evening will feature:

  • Opening Remarks by Governor Janet T. Mills, Maine’s first female governor and former Attorney General.
  • Keynote Address by Noah Feldman, Harvard Law Professor and national expert on constitutional law and democratic governance.
  • Panel Discussion with:
    • Aaron Frey, Attorney General of Maine
    • Carol Garvan, Legal Director, ACLU of Maine
    • Susan Faunce, President, Maine State Bar Association
