Attorney Daniel Kagan Joins NPR Program on Traumatic Brain Injury

Berman & Simmons attorney Daniel Kagan was a guest on the NPR program, Maine Calling, for a show dedicated to issues surrounding traumatic brain injuries.

Each year, 2.5 million Americans suffer a traumatic brain injury — from falls, accidents, strokes and other common causes. For many TBI patients, life is never the same, but there are major advances in TBI treatment and understanding of the brain.

Kagan spoke on his own personal experience with TBI and how it changed his appreciation for working with personal injury clients who often need legal help collecting insurance or negotiating how to get back to work.

“Most people don’t know where to turn. The lawyers and the doctors often work hand in hand to make sure we can overcome as much of that as possible,” he said. Click here to hear more.

Kagan is one of Maine’s leading trial lawyers, with a record of jury verdicts and settlements in complex and difficult personal injury cases.
