Berman & Simmons supports good work of Robbie Foundation

Berman & Simmons, the leading personal injury and medical malpractice law firm in Maine, donated $2,000 and is a champion sponsor of a fundraising event this month for the Robbie Foundation.

The fourth annual “No Limits Run, Walk, and Roll” 5K will be held on Sunday, Sept. 25, at Bowdoin College in Brunswick. The event is a major fundraiser for the Robbie Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission is to raise funds to provide adaptive equipment, therapy services, and other assistance not covered by insurance to children in Maine with special needs.

Attorney Susan Faunce of Berman & Simmons serves as a volunteer and board member for Scarborough-based Robbie Foundation. The law firm was eager to join other local organizations in support of this charitable cause. Several staff members from Berman & Simmons will attend the Sept. 25 event as volunteers and participants.

“I have worked on a number of cases involving children with significant physical and developmental disabilities, and I have witnessed the struggles parents go through to get the necessary equipment and therapies,” Faunce said. “As a mom, I sympathize because many times the needs are not covered by insurance. The needs can be as simple as an adequate fitting car seat or a safe bed.”

“Children with disabilities deserve to be comfortable, happy, and to live to their fullest potential like every child,” Faunce said.
