Berman & Simmons donates $2,500 to Tree Street Youth

Berman & Simmons, the leading personal injury and medical malpractice law firm in Maine, will donate $2,500 this year to Tree Street Youth, a non-profit organization that supports disadvantaged young people in Lewiston-Auburn.

Located at 144 Howe St. in Lewiston, Tree Street Youth has a high school graduation rate of 100 percent as well as a college acceptance rate of 95 percent. They have served more than 800 kids speaking 14 different languages since its start in 2011. The organization is home to afterschool programs, arts and athletics, summer youth programs, tutoring programs, teen leadership training, and BRANCHES (Becoming Responsible Adults ‘N Cultivating Higher Educational Success).

Thanks to the continued support of the local community, individual donors, and foundation grants, the Tree Street Youth Center is able to offer all of the programming at no cost to families. They strive to eliminate economic barriers by providing a space of equal opportunity and advancement.

“Our firm is pleased to continue our support of the Tree Street Youth Center,” said Craig Bramley, managing director at Berman & Simmons. “Our employees have volunteered for the organization and have seen firsthand the admirable work done by their staff and the youth that participate in the program. They certainly play an integral role in the development of the young members of our community.”
