Berman & Simmons Attorney Susan Faunce Named MTLA President

Attorney Susan Faunce was recently named President of the Maine Trial Lawyers Association (MTLA). She is honored to lead the MTLA in its mission of promoting and preserving the civil justice system. “The work of the MTLA is critical to protect access to Maine’s justice system and the right to a jury trial. This is especially important now as the courts address the backlog of civil cases resulting from the pandemic.” Susan said.

The MTLA works to preserve the civil justice system and the right to trial by jury, provide training and education to lawyers, and uphold the honor and dignity of the legal profession.

Susan, who joined Berman & Simmons in 2006, is an accomplished medical malpractice attorney and currently leads the firm’s Mass Tort practice. Susan serves on the United States District Court of Maine Local Rules Advisory Committee, the Maine State Bar Association, the Maine Justice Foundation, as well as the American Association for Justice. She is also a board member of the Robbie Foundation.
