Berman & Simmons Attorney Susan Faunce Is First Maine Attorney Selected for AAJ’s National Leadership Academy

Berman & Simmons attorney Susan Faunce is one of just 18 attorneys selected nationally for the American Association for Justice (AAJ) 2019 Leadership Academy, an initiative to cultivate future leaders.

As the first lawyer in Maine selected for this competitive program, Susan has been identified as a rising star among AAJ members and will be attending three intensive leadership training sessions. The mission of the AAJ is to promote a fair and effective justice system and to support the work of attorneys in their efforts to ensure that any person injured by the misconduct or negligence of others can obtain justice. Susan is currently an AAJ state delegate. Berman & Simmons attorneys Daniel Kagan and Michael Bigos serve on the AAJ Board of Governors.

“We are extremely proud of Susan’s selection to this program,” said Craig Bramley, Managing Director for the firm. “This honor reflects her drive and commitment to obtaining justice for her clients.”

Susan currently leads the firm’s mass tort practice, representing clients in dangerous drug and medical device litigation, and also advocates for clients in medical malpractice and wrongful death cases. Susan serves on the Board of Directors for the Maine Trial Lawyers Association and the Maine State Bar Association and is a past Co-chair of the Women’s Law Section of the Maine State Bar Association.
