Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters business, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Lawyers cannot nominate themselves; instead they might be nominated by peers or identified through the Super Lawyers research team. Candidates are evaluated on 12 areas of professional achievement and peer recognition such as favorable verdicts and settlements and pro bono service.
