Berman & Simmons Represents Family of Woolwich Man in Wrongful Death Suit Against Penske Truck Leasing Corp.

Berman & Simmons represents the widow of Barry Wyman, the Woolwich resident who was killed in 2019 when the car he was driving was struck by a Penske truck. The wrongful death suit alleges that Penske Truck Leasing was negligent in renting a vehicle to a driver with a reckless driving record.

“If you’re in the business of taking money to give people trucks, you should be careful about who you give those trucks to. For the sake of public safety, Penske is legally required to be careful in determining whether it is safe to rent someone a truck. They should not rent large commercial trucks to people who are known to be dangerous drivers; that type of carelessness endangers everyone on Maine’s roads,” a Berman & Simmons representative said.
