Curtis to present at Maine Trial Lawyers seminar

Berman & Simmons attorney Alicia Curtis will give a presentation at the Fall Trial Lawyers Seminar, held by the Maine Trial Lawyers Association, on Nov. 4 in Portland.

The presentation is titled “Enough Already? Evidence Necessary to Prove Causation in a Personal Injury Case.”

Here’s a description: “Even the strongest liability case can be lost on the issue of causation. From unwitnessed falls to complex mechanisms of injury, personal injury cases can pose challenges to the party with the burden of proof on causation. This interactive presentation will explore the types and quality of evidence necessary to survive summary judgment and prevail at trial. The presenters will discuss both recent Law Court decisions on this issue and practical tips from a successful trial practice.”
