Profile:
Paul Macri has handled most of the appellate work in our firm from 1983 until the present. He has appeared before the Maine Supreme Judicial Court more than any other private practitioner in civil matters, briefing or arguing more than 140 cases before the Law Court. Paul has a national reputation as an appellate lawyer. In 2005, he was unanimously elected a Fellow of the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers, whose membership is limited to 250 lawyers nationwide.
Paul now works with Bill Robitzek and his team in working up files and has extensive experience drafting all kinds of litigation pleadings, including discovery, briefs, and legal memoranda.
As an Assistant Attorney General from 1979-83, Paul was counsel to the Maine State Retirement System as well as other state agencies such as the Maine Veterans Home, the Department of Defense and Veterans Services and the Maine Maritime Academy. He also drafted legislation and legislative opinions, worked closely with
legislators and handled substantial administrative and appellate litigation.
